SPECIAL OLYMPICS OTTAWA: I am currently working on a series of videos that showcase some of the Special Olympics Ottawa (“SOO”) athletes and SOO coaches who will be representing Ontario at the Special Olympics National Games in Medicine Hat, Alberta in August 2026. Thanks to SOO for the opportunity to meet, interview and film these remarkable SOO athletes and the coaches who volunteer their time and talent.

PARKDALE FOOD CENTRE CAMPAIGN: In 2024, I prepared several videos about food insecurity in Ottawa and the innovative work done by Parkdale Food Centre to help address this issue in the rapidly gentrifying neighbourhood of Hintonburg. Thanks to Parkdale Food Centre for giving me the opportunity to meet, interview and film some of its employees, volunteers and Neighbours.

DENSE BREASTS CANADA CAMPAIGN: In 2022, I prepared a series of videos about breast cancer survivors in conjunction with Dense Breasts Canada. Prior to their diagnoses, none of these women knew that they had dense breast tissue or that mammograms are not particularly effective at diagnosing tumours in women with dense breast tissue. Thanks to Dense Breasts Canada for the opportunity to tell the stories of these remarkable women.

Meaghan's StoryMeaghan, who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer only 15 months after receiving a clear mammogram, discusses the risks of having dense breast tissue.

Beth's StoryBeth was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in 2018 and went through multiple surgeries and aggressive treatment. In light of her experience, Beth discusses shifting the perspective on what good patient care should be.

Jennifer's StoryWhile in her 40s, Jennifer had requested that she be sent for a mammogram but was told by her physician that the Ontario breast screening program was limited to women aged 50 and over. Jennifer had just turned 50 when she discovered a lump in her breast.

Andrea's StoryAndrea discusses the risks associated with having dense breast tissue.
